Isostatic HDG graphite headshell
HDG graphite, due to its outstanding isotropic behaviour, absorbs and dissipates vibrations in all directions. What most benefits from this is the heart of any analog system where mechanical movement is converted into an electric signal: the phono cartridge.
The state of the art Audiosilente HDG graphite shell, now available in the mk2 version, is manufactured with cnc machines and manually polished to a smooth finish of the exterior. It is fitted with an aluminum collar hosting a machine screw for an easy set-up of the azimuth and a 24k gold plated brass lift.
The electric signal is carried by our renowned eia connector (already adopted by numerous companies worldwide as a standard) that uses silver plated ofc copper wires with teflon insulation and female clips made from phosphorus bronze to our own specifications. The clips accept pins with a diameter ranging from 1.17 to 1.22 millimeters. Upon request we will provide pins with a larger section (1.23 to 1.28 millimeters) to assure compatibility with most cartridges.
Weight varies from 16.5 to 17.5 grams.
